A few months ago I've worked on a short animation called 'Connecting Flights' directed by Arthur Gorissen. After a lot sleepless nights, rendering time and months and months cutting, shooting pics and ofcourse animating the whole thing we finished the movie. And luckily, all the hard work payed off. The film  is selected for the 'Dutch Selected Shorts 2014', which means it will be shown at several film festivals. Connecting Flights isn't available online yet, but here's a screenshot.

I haven't updated my blog for a looooooong time, because i'm working on my website!

ArcusHeroes

A few months ago, I worked on a game called ArcusHeroes. The game was developed  in  the context of students who had special talent or story. It's an competition were the students compete with eachother for the titel MBO uitblinker 2013. In this game, you could play as one of the characters and help the student to get the highest score and be a Arcus Hero. The competitions ended in may, but you can still play the game online. Rkade (studio of Rens Lensvelt) asked me to do the designs of the game. I did  the character plus the animation of the character for the game. I did several designs fot the background and the evil guy and I did the frontcover, which was a different style than the game to make it more interesting.

Multimedia

This one is voor the Letterenfonds (a Dutch foundation for Literature).  They had a tour to give a short impression about translators, which this animation was included. Most people don't know the things translators has to take into account and how they have to make a connection with the book to translate it. Hooray for translators!

Paper

Working on my paper about Silhouet Animation. I always had a thing for this technique. One of the first storyboards I made was a story with silhouets. I drew the storyboard with a marker. Too bad, the marker wasn't a really good idea, my drawing started to turn yellow like after two days I made it. I stille have a picture of it.

Hello!

I´m back! (Not that you noticed, still) I needed some time to think what I want to do over 10 years, but i think it´s stil the same. I want to be a great storyboarder or concept artist. So I guess you´ll see some of that soon. Ofcourse there are so many things beside that I want to do. I want to make animation, illustrations and but also commercials and special effects. Guess I have to work harder.

this is something I made for typography class. I really like this one because it's looks simple and the white points out exactly where to look.

Hello! This week, I made some pictures of my puppet's emnotions. Because it's my first puppet, he is a very simple-made doll. His emotions are expressed with his wenkbrowns, mouth and ofcourse body language. Let's see if you can tell the difference!

Hai! I'm really busy at the moment with my stop motion. And ofcourse, I'm making the the backgrounds at our school, so I have to make it between the school hours. In my spare time, I'm making my showreel (which I shall post next week). And I scanned some of my old work. I like these illustrations, so to conserve them, I'll put them on my blog :)
